Anthony’s

The spurious nature of man
To the wild elephants
Deceitful and mendacious
Of course they are no fan
Of the local people
Selfish people
Ignorant people who
Only see the land there on as there’s
Really it’s true.

Before man set down on this
Earth
animals walked
Their way
Carved out paths to water
To feed and every day
They walked this earth
Instinctively
They know their rights
And they
Have been putting up
With our sanctimonious crap
Along the way

THULA THULA
The place to be
The matriarch though she
Wanted to go elsewhere
Wanted to break free
The problem was the hunters
Outside the fence
They lay
In wait to shoot the elephants
And really make them pay

Hunters are humanity
Ignorant as shit
All they want to do
Is kill and stalk and hunt
They sit on their arses
High fiving camouflage
And all
Sadistic ignorant arseoles
Who really do appal

And the elephants get pissed off
It’s obvious that they
Are the biggest animals
In this world today
Sick and tired of threatening
Treachery and pain
And she kicked off
And rightly so
Feeling the disdain

Anthony was called upon
To save them if he could
Go and see them talk to them
They were misunderstood
Every day he appealed to them
A whisperer indeed
Leave the fences well alone
And I promise you will succeed

Again the hunters waiting
Bastards heartless toads
They haven’t got a ounce of sense
Trying to make inroads
Into the elephants pastures
That is what they do
Governments sell them licences
And they kill really that’s true

And so Anthony took himself
Along and appealed everyday
And the message it got through to them
And they stayed away
They explored their area
And stayed within the fence
The Matriarch had realised
That Anthony made some sense

The story goes on a little way
And one day Anthony died
The poor soul had a heart attack
Africa denied
Him and his precious elephants
But strangely then we saw
The herd come over to his house
To pay their respects
So raw

Was that in their emotions
They got wind of his death
And came to share his aura
And his lasting breath
Of their friend one decent human
Unlike the hunters who
Are a bunch despots
Who should be made into glue
