PHUKET ZOO Thailand

Thailand should be ashamed of itself
For what’s happening right here
It’s called a zoo
But the view
Is anything but clear
It’s a nothingness of caring
It’s baseless and unreal
The animals are all prisoners
They are trying to conceal

Not a whit or jot of care
It’s awful to perceive
It’s meagre and it’s sparseness
It’s so hard to believe
That animals could die treated
In such an appalling way
The chaos and disorder
The disharmony at play
Undisciplined and unruly
It’s exhausting just to be
Paying for the weakness and the vulnerability

All the animals are suffering
There’s a darkness everywhere
They are unlikely to be happy
What is certain is their despair
Contrary to reason
Untenable and unsound
You can witness the poor judgement
And the injustice all around
The ignorance is in your face
Complete uncertainty
Unknowing and unaware
Strangers they can see

The unenlightened the empty headed
The indifference that we see
The animals the boredom
The bone heads seemingly
As asinine as any
As infantile as some
Short sighted and thoughtless
And incredibly so dumb

I look at all the animals
Glaring back at me
Their eyes are swollen and deep set
For all the world to see
Their frustration and their bafflement
Unfulfilled and sad
Thwarted Baulked and crest fallen
And many going mad

Life has lost its meaning
They have lost it figuratively
Emphatic with their protest
With the negativity
The treachery one feels it
And the mendacity
What is the double dealing
It’s their catastrophe

Suffering the filth the lack of
Hope it’s everywhere
The trickery the dupery
That all of them do share
Tokenism make believe
A mockery of sorts
Fraudulent and guileful
Playing with their thoughts

It should have been closed down
Years and years ago
Peta has been voicing their concern
The world did know
The misrepresentation
The perversion everywhere
The nomenclature where nothing
Where nobody does care

They torture and they starve us
In a barbarous atmosphere
We are choking they are poking
We are broken can’t you hear
Your unwillingness to notice us
Your rejection of us pains
Indisposed and reluctant
It’s bubbling through our veins

Each of us is dying
What endurance once we had
Broken by the iniquity
The angst we are all sad
It’s shameful what they do to us
When visitors are gone
In pursuit of profit
We exist upon
An undernourished interval
Spurned all of our days
Their grossness and their rottenness
Their hurtfulness some praise
It’s buttock clenchingly awful
We cannot go on like this
Scruffy and bedraggled
Our lives are never bliss

Our throats are drenched in mucous
When we defecate we bleed
Stain and crud is everywhere
None of us succeed
It’s gritty and it’s manky and it’s shitty
And it’s wrong
And everyone existing here
Knows in our hearts we do not belong

Thailand best consider
The torment that is here
The dysfunction and the illnesses
The terrible diarrhoea
The infective the germ laden
The festering nightmare
This shit hole of a living space
Where body does care
