A plea from a kangaroo MOTHER

We feel blighted we feel slighted
Disappointed that mankind
Consider themselves as caring
And thoughtful
Underlined
in all these flowery
Flowing terms
What we really see
As marsupials in wildness
Is a torrid cruelty

Yes a disenchantment
Thwarted so to say
really humiliated
By the fences along the way
That frustrate and that injure
So many of us who
go about our daily lives
Doing what we do

In tune with our Great Mother
Who placed us where we be
Some 80,000 years we have leapt
Throughout the history
The red earth is our carpet
The blue ness is our sky
Our love and true affection
Is the reason we get by

Our far sightedness
And memories
Hold us in god sted
Sagaciously we use each leap
Of faith and it has led
Us to surmise a better future
Until the barbed wire fence
The evil of the human being
Designed to make us tense

We feel great pain as you do
Hung over as some are
Dying in the sun and dust
Your fences how they scar
And frustrate our inner being
Where have your sages gone?
Why do you erect such frightening things
Out there now upon

Our frequency of wildness spaces
They are vacuous and wrong
They injure and they maim us
And really do not belong
In a countryside of saintly beings
Where Wild mothers train their young
Where genius is evident clearly now among

The hordes of wild marsupials
Frequenting these parts
Caught up on the degeneracy
Each fence of broken hearts
The flagrancy and wrong doing
Transgressing as they do
So many of us bleeding out
And crying out to you

In iniquity personified
It’s real depravity
Many a mother meets her death
Along with her joey
Imagine the guilt and burden
That a wild mother feels
The enormity the atrocity
That hanging there reveals

Where is your voice of conscience
Where is your remorse
We need some reparation
For this is death at source
Cutting off our air borne paths
Our tried and tested way
Is a principle of evil
Getting worse and worse each day

And it’s born out of your selfishness
Your egocentricity
Share with us a bounty
And in heaven you will see
A freeing up of spirit
A virtuous display
Of treasures plain and simple
On yes your judgement day.
