“Olive”

I am really very fortunate
Blessedness is how
Living with the Hambidges
Despite the lockdown now
They are the perfect family
And I am well pleased living there
The garden and the countryside
For all of it they share
Ancestrally we came from Tibet
In the mountains far away
Lots of snow and wild wild winds
In the monasteries we stay
I am known as a lion dog
A shi zu
Quite the soul
Thriving on companionship.
And in a family role

As dogs go I am little
No weight to speak of, I
Still so love the countryside
And a clear blue sky
With family I am joyful
Neglected I cannot be
That’s when I will bark my head off
When the family I can’t see

But I am very adaptable
It doesn’t matter where
Up in the Tibetan mountains
Or a shepherds hut in Ware
I love it where I am Living now
With the crystals and candles and things
My lady is a Druid
And so much love she brings
Into our equation
Every single day
People think I am high maintenance
But Grooming doesn’t get in the way

My hair grows fast and wavy
And can go down to the ground
A regular trim is what I get
And such patience I have found
From Dawn she cares
Day in day out
I am just family
And that is what I am all about
It’s euphoric actually

The garden all the flowers
She grows
The wild plants that she picks
Loves to take her photographs
Out there in the sticks
It’s good I am energetic
and social by nature too
Because I found the perfect family
And promise you that’s true.

I learn a lot from Dawn I do
She talks to me she does
You see she knows I comprehend
Which does give me that buzz
That real respect, that honour
Of being her friend
She’s compassionate and caring
And in her world she does defend
Me, her canine warrior from very far away
She gives me some credence
In a moral way
The luxury of living
In the Hambidge family
Wallowing in their loving
Means everything to me

Sometimes I go to grannies
Near the Roll Right stones
All those fields to chipping
So many different tones
The neolithic aura
And all those mole hills too
I love the smells I get up there
So much up there on view

It’s where our Dawn does ritual
In a circle she
Is part of the robed ones
It’s where she likes to be
I hold her in high standing
For her veneration she
It doesn’t matter who she meets
I know that she loves me

And so I do feel comfortable
Happy as I can be
Sometimes I tell Anubis
How the family
Always does the proper thing
Is dutiful and kind
She just loves her garden
It’s where she can unwind
Today some crystal healing
And she wore her new blue dress
And looked a proper picture
I just have to confess
