“MYAN PRINCE”

Unenlightenment prevailing
Crass ignorance pertaining
The empty headed half baked fools
Unscholarly unread
Suffering tunnel vision
Unqualified and shallow
Too many temple wallers
Seemingly are led
Back into their darkness
Artless in the way
They comprehend a incident
And make another pay
Chained up and whipped
SRI LANKA hears
The violence curdles
From its ears
COLOMBO shudders
As do we
Who witness “MYAN PRINCE” and be
Lost for words
The temple’s act
To beat a soul
And thus attract
Such negative bewilderment
Credulous to so react
A monk was killed
That maybe true
But why and how
To take a view
The elephant the guilty soul
To be beaten
And to lose control
Of sanity
Such awful cries
Such cruelty truly defies

Temples are no place to be
Elephants old souls free
chained in cloisters
Lost in darkness
Broken hearted
Joyless lifeless
BELLANWILA Bhuddist haven
Up against what appears craven
A state of mind
A cruel display
Transgressing now
In every way
Indefensible such an act
Vicious and sinful
Abandoning tact
Losing control
A felony
Such flagellation
Should never be
