“Jimmy super fly”

He really took it badly
Being knocked down he
Found his back legs injured
And his back too
Tragically
Constant pain debilitates
It sinks into one’s soul
You lose the confidence to walk
It has you in its control

Clearly being somewhere
Where the angels are on hand
Where love is free and cuddles too
Where they all understand
How much an injury matters
And suffering can be draining
And unpleasant
And lease to purgatory

Six months just a waiting
And feeling so forlorn
Despite all of the cuddles
The care ones born torn
Away from true reality
And then one day to feel
Perhaps watching the others
And suddenly it’s real

You get up and you try to walk
And your back legs fall away
Why others keep on running
But for you it hurts you pay
But still you try your hardest
To run around and see
You hide out in the bushes
Or in the water be

You drag your legs
And walk on two
Crippled up but trying
Gaining yet more cuddles from the angels
Inside crying
Quietly to yourself
It’s just not fair that you can’t walk
But time is very much on your side
And one day you will walk
