JULIA a ship bound for TURKEY from BRAZIL

Duty of care
There isn’t none there
Cattle shipped from BRAZIL
Face such despair
No food and water
That’s what we do
The MEAT TRADE has no bloody care
About you

If you are a cow
You can whistle all day
You can moo till your throat hurts
And feel the decay
In your limbs in your body
The heat and the rest
The pain and the agony
Yes you detest

3800 souls on their way
From BRAZIL yes to TURKEY
And we hear today
Stuck outside Cartagena
Waiting for food
And water
And care
Can we be more crude

imagine the spirit
Where is the respect
This is wilful neglect
An evasion unchecked
They must be feeling
Let down and sore
Let them starve
What’s the point
The world will ignore

The plight of live exports
Deforestation we are the reason
So it’s no celebration
To realise animals costing the earth
Will die in this ship
Seen by some without worth

Humans are devils
Such a resource
We should be duty bound
Engaged and in course
To love every one of them
Not let them die
In absolute agony
Under the sky

It’s an affront
I can hear every cry
The dishonesty here
As more and more die
Trapped in a ship
It’s unscrupulous too
Treat living souls
The way that you do

The MEAT TRADE
For me are not playing the game
We need some uprightness
As a claim to fame
Not shabby abjectness
Such villainous woe
Each one has great feeling
Where ever they go

Imagine the stress levels
Stuck in this hold
The roll of the sea
The depravity sold
Guiltless and innocent
Ungulates who
Must be shitting themselves
Because what you do

Why won’t SPAIN let them dock
What’s it about
The heartless are everywhere
I Am in no doubt
When it comes to animals
Businessmen they
Lack what is needed
To help them today

I appeal to whoever
Is out there to see
To imagine the stress
They stand and they wee
In their stalls
Being thrown about
Sickly and wrong
In this pit of confusion
These souls don’t belong

They are puking their hearts up
They stand in their shit
The smell is just awful
You lot need a bit
Of this for their suffering
It ought to hit home
The disgrace and the shame
With no where to roam

Standing there waiting
What do they do
Are they revengeful
no they are true
Trusting and thoughtful
Hoping to be
Unloaded somewhere
In the vicinity

But whats keeping me up
At night worrying seems
To be I am sharing
The worst of their dreams
nightmares as such
On that stretch of sea
As hour after hour
Comes and goes dreadfully
