Preston New Road

Van surfing at tHe Cuadrilla site
Stop the start campaign
The first Uk Frack of shale gas
Is to happen once again
Despite all the protests
And the council saying NO
The tories saw ro overide
And thats why three did go

Into jail for 15/16 months
Yes poor souls they
Stood up and were counted
And were made to pay
A soil chemist a teacher
A piano tuner high regard
Who cared about the water
About the air we breathe
Its hard

To just stand by and watch
These corporate thugs roll
Into town
Threaten water air
And life you feel it coming down
The life you chose the place you live
Threatened by those who
Live far away in mansions
In tax havens some do

Alone they climbed on lorries
Risking life and limb
This is how we reward our heroes
Ofcourse the day looks dim
But lock ons and other protectors
Are coming they are on their way
Cuadrills is going to realise
That they too have to pay

Maybe some will get knighthoods
As our aquifers are breached
As methane creates more climate change
As fossil fuel filth reached
High as the frack water
Once potable and clean
Is wasted and forever a factor
Thats Obscene!

In this day and age when water
Already causes ill
Countries struggling
People dying in muddy holes
That spill
Mosquito ridden evils
And here now what we see
Is millions of gallons of drinking water
Destroyed effectively

5 million gallons of water
Each frack imagine that
How many starving children
Cant someone smell a rat?
Cant someone use the brains that
They were born with and respect
The outcome of these shortages
And not try to deflect

The peoples right for water
The peoples need for air
The peoples need for peace and quiet
And an environment to share
Potential poisoned water
Potential poisoned air
House and roads disrupted
And torn up everywhere

Nosebleeds cancers surfacing
Noise from trucks that roll
All that bloody frack water
To be disposed of
Wheres the soul
In that operation
Where is it going to go
Back down bloody bore holes
Or in rivers yes we know

These buggers are up for anything
Manchester ship canal
took Some fracking water
The implications, Pal
Are terrible beyond thought
And if you imagine we
Are standing by and letting them
You have lost it actually

Protectors are now outside
People are standing by
A Coach is coming from Bolton
The enforcers they will try
To kettle to throw and so abuse
The protectors but you see
They are there for the love
Of life and the real humanity

They are not paid a penny
And anyone who dares say
The water that we drink
The air we breathe
Will be ok
Go and check the other fracking wells
Around the world
We see what actually happens
When this shit is hurled

The road is closed we understand
But people will get there
The travelling circus
And lots besides
And the growing despair
The women that have been on hand
All these months and they
Ribboned up the fences in their delightful way

Kettling arresting people throwing them sbout
This is what has happened
Policing its about
Enforcement of the corporate state
Fight off the peasants who
Have the nerve to make a stand
Against the clueless few
