Hump back 2

The waves the palm fronds
Paradise for some
I do expect
A great whale a great humpback
A baleen
I detect

Its karma to be present
Among the human soul
At Ponta do Ouro
Mozambique
Under their control

It happened before
In Beira where
Another whale
Died tragically
One that they did tow
Out into the ocean
But sadly for this soul
Decided although it was still alive
That it well couldnt go

Back from whence it came
And so samples were taken they
Removed parts of its being
And allowed humans to pay
Their respect by butchering it
Human vultures came
Tearing strips off this poor soul
My heart it does inflame

They were never starving
To mutilate and leave
Blubber and flesh strewn everywhere
What does that achieve
The sharks will feel
Aggrieved I am sure
But then really who cares
Science has got its samples
And the vultures will say their prayers

Humanity is being smothered
In an ocean of regret
There seems a lack of pity
Compassion hasnt set
A fair course in my opinion
We persecute we do
We all just want our pound of flesh
There that is my view
