DUBAI And its dolphins

5 Bottlenose dolphins
SENYA/KSYUSHA/FEKLA/TETKA/JERRY

4 fur seals
GHOSHA/MAX/FILA/LUSHA

Based in childrens City DUBAI.

The oil revenues that bolstered this place
Have more or less gone
Its extremes though now grace
The capital city with
Excess and more
The most populous city
And everyones sure

Its now about tourism
And real estate
About aviation
Its got to be great
Its a global city
And ofcourse what we see
Is an air conditioned
Chlorinated bath tub
Where we
Can watch captured dolphins
And captured fur seals
Performing their tricks
To the cretinous squeals

Outside it is hot
It was desert before
The victims from Russia
Their deal was raw
There is no understanding
Compassion is not
On the agenda
So they havent got

Freedom at all
Just a circus of fear
Totally alien
That much is clear
They have thrown lots of money
But what do we see
Nothing thats real
There is no harmony

These poor captured dolphins
Can now interact
With humans so swimming
And dancing its packed
Into their regimen
Day after day
Its numbing and awful
In every way

People who go there
Are ignorant, they
Know nothing of animal rights
They just pay
They just want
They dont care about dolphins
The show
Must go on and go on
So the bums on seats know

Lives turned upside down
Its totally hell
They never eat fresh
They never feel well
Dosed up on drugs
They live and they play
In the same water
They have every day

There is no life energy
Outside the sun
Beats from the heavens
It really can stun
The western visitors
So cetaceans and seals
You can just imagine
How all of that feels

Artificiality
gets into your bones
It feels chaotic
In all of those zones
Breathing that air
Marshalled all day
From freedom to slavery
Just in a day

All sorts of bodies close up
Their smells
Their cloying hands
It really tells
On the sensitive creatures
Who just have to be
Close up and hating
The prolonged symphony

Highly paid trainers
With so little sense
Encouraging dolphins
Who have no defence
Who know all the moves
They are natural, but they
Are trained to leap skywards
On command and to pay

Attention to what
they are basically told
To be fed on dead fish
Smelly and cold
Its the repetition
The stammering way
For each performance
All through the day

Dolphins are highly intelligent
Souls
It becomes tedious
They have no goals
Nothing is natural
Just leaping about
For dead fish rewards
It is a rout

There is no stimulation
The dynamics not there
There is no excitement
No play they can share
Its all regimented
And very intense
And in a nutshell
It just makes no sense

On the Persian Gulf
The UAR
This great business hub
Which is where they are
Arrogance reigns
And ignorance too
And the victims are the dolphins
And the seals
Which is true

Tourism you can just
Feel the great buzz
Its all rather virulent
And infact does
Really get to you
So the dolphins must be
Stressed out of their minds
To a violent degree

People are booking their holidays
There
Buying the tickets
Expecting to share
Their space and their skin
And their soul
And their all
And the dolphins are stuck
In their watery stall

There is no vitality
No vital force
As to longevity
Its a hard course
Their allotted span
Who can now say
How long they will last
At the end of the day

We are all so unfair
We are not human kind
We are truthfully unthinking
Losing our mind
Neanderthal thoughts
In a modern day scene
The scenario hellish
For them it has been

An unnatural happening
Incarceration
No social order
And no salvation
Outside a furnace
Inside the air
Just artificial
And no one to care

Can we appeal to tourism here
The trip advisors
And others its clear
They too are drunk on the money they make
Its all about profit
For profits sake

And the victims all suffer
A fate worse than death
Its like a psychodrama
Begging for breath
No honest thoughtfulness
Just sophistry
Irrational behaviour
An irrelevancy

My heart goes out to these 5 slave dolphins and the 4 slave fur seals
Who are there until they peg out
