250 cattle destroyed by gov’t vet

A 69 year old man was
Indicted we hear
For neglecting his animals
And it was clear
Be wasnt too well
And Wholesale larceny
Took his mind off
The farm which should never be

His animals sufffered
Neglect and cruelty
Clearly not fed properly
And their mortality
Not written up
His farm in a mess
A calf with a broken leg
Under such stress
And clearly he knew
But decided that he
Would ignore the issue
Which does seem to me
Terribly ignorant
Pain like this must
Cause immense suffering
And does disgust

A cow with a rope
Embedded again
Causing aggravation
And a lot of pain
But clearly neglected
Nobody cared
Animals suffer
And have to be spared

A build up of feces
And maggots galore
This poor cows suffering
Was clearly awful
One bull was starving
With wounds that looked sore

Burglars and vandals
Were clearly drawn there
Neglect draws the negatives
Being aware
Of ones animals
And keeping boundaries intact
And bushes all cut
This is a fact

Animal welfare
It must be addressed
Flagrant dereliction
It will always test
The aura around places
Possibly they
go from worse to worse
Thats when we all pay

Peter was told he would never be
Able to keep animals
And He could see
The reason he did get a lifetime ban
Was he just couldnt cope
Life had gone down the pan

The terrible tragedy
From this affair
All of the animals
Were killed that does scare
Me 250 the government vet
Killed everyone
Now that was a debt

And it all came about
Over neglect of a farm
And the animals there
All coming to harm
Burglars and vandals
Of course made it worse

Farmers are telling us
Its like a curse
The police dont turn up
When you are out of town
And if you cant cope
They put everything down

Its a tragic tale
Of an old man who tried
To look after his herd
But alas they all died
What broke hus back
The continuous crime
And his age and his illness
Meant he couldnt climb

One has to feel sorry
Its a tale of woe
And regret very much
That his cattle did go
Half eating plastic
It does make one think
And really no where
Where the cattle could drink
