Karawatha overpass

Building roads and caring
About wild habitat
That is what is needed
Thats where we should be at
Arches paths and walkways
For the animals of the field
For wild birds to cross safely
A partnership to yield
All the worlds participants
Wild animals and birds
Reptiles every species
Not to be lost for words
But full of understanding
That is what we need
And At Karawatha Forest
It really does succeed

Animals do cross roads
Thats why sometimes road kill
Clearly they cannot cope with cars
Day and night They spill
Their blood across the highway
When it doesnt need to be
With a little thought & expertise
And ofcourse our empathy

We can all work together
Creativity
Wild imagination if you like
But good to see
Thinking clearly out of the box
Conceptulization does
Just make all the difference
And cant you feel the buzz?

Finches silver eyes and robins
Flitting to and fro
Lizards in the undergrowth
Basket ferns on show
Various types of wattle and Eucalyptus
We
See broad backed paper bark trees
And The Geebung naturally
Orange and yellow splendour
A forest of lush green
Cars common in their myriad
Ways
And we still have one great scene

Poetry in motion
Rhapsodic in a way
We keep the very meaning
Disentangled from the day
Cars go on their business
The forest and the park
The wildness all around us all
Just making its mark.
Humanity just can afford
To share and welcome those
Who wildly occupy the trees
And every where that grows

Yes look up at the forests
Elsewhere torn down and lost
A dreadful way of thanking Nature
And an enormous cost
To the wild folk to the air we breathe
To everyone and all
With just a little thought
We can all be on the ball

Social Responsibility
Ofcourse its best by far
Everybody feels apart
Yes everyones a star
Full marks for the civil engineers
Who work with hope
And ofcourse expectation
They prove we all can cope
By thinking about every creature
The bright and beautiful clan
Who are optimistic candidates
For the purpose and the plan
