Never write us off

Bang them sticks
sing our hearts out
Light the fire
And watch the Roo’s

Art work
in tradition
That has to be
good news

The northern psrt
of Australia
Is where
we make our home

How we are
the people
Free
And able to roam

With aspects
of the positive
Indigenous
all through

Weve taken
knocks a plenty
But still
come shining through

Born in our
great country
Our native
title we

Hear the
kookaburra
Out there
on the tree

Raised up
and impassioned
I make stuff
thats my thing

Axes spears
and boomerangs
It still makes
my heart sing

Maybe I’m old
and indigenous
But our culture
lives on we

Are the truest
spirit
Its where
we have to be

We have always
loved to live
Where our
spirit flies

We dance
our beads our masks
our songs

We embrace
the skies
Caring sharing
daring

To be ourselves
for we
Live now
in Undara
As free men
actually.
