Child trafficking and chocolate

The big boys joys
Are many
The Nestle’s of this world
MARS KRAFT CARGILL
Corporatocracy
Unfurled

Africa West Africa
Is indeed a melting pot
Where buyers based in Abidjan
Are earning such a lot
The tragedy child slavery
Trafficking its rife
Mali,Benin,Burkino faso,Niger
So much strife
Nigeria and Togo
Little children they
are trafficked
Via Segoua to the ivory Coast
Away
to Pogo to the plantations
Who pay the traffickers too
Bring children on their motor bikes
Yes that is what they do

Go and visit Nestle cargill ADM
Go and visit callebout
See if it does stem
From where they do the business
Ofcourse they do deny
Its happening and it is rife
And so so many lie

The hopelessness that children feel
Slaves to the regime
They work with dangerous pesticides
As part of a team
Machetes at the ready
Heavy sacks of beans
It is no place for children
Who havent reached their teens

Many we have seen there are 10 – 12 years old
Many get no pay at all they are bought
And sold
Slavery its commonplace despite the protocol
Despite investigations and the work
Of interpol

Much of the suffering happens
The corporates know the score
They close their eyes to whats happening
So far outside the law
Resigned to see it happening
Though preferring to look away
Its all about big profit
And raising it each day

For the children are inconsolable
The work they do is hard
The sun is hot when you have got
No protection and no guard
Against the inauspicious time
Spent out in the heat
With all the intimidation
And terror at your feet

Anybody reporting on this evil
Has to be
Really very couraegous
For what they will do to thee
Its the money they are raking in
No wages none at all
With margins rising all the time
They just make their own rule

Their imprudence is sensational
Its recklessness to see
Tiny children in the bush
Slaving perilously
Suffering its ill conceived
Its lemming like to me
Somebody elses children
Kidnapped mercilessly

The wonderment of childhood
Lost in this hot hell
They really are notorious
Discredited as well
The corporates earning big bucks
On the back of children who
Are stolen from their parents
As slaves thats what they do

And buying from these corporates
These rat faced millionaires
Who really have no dignity
And though they recite prayers
They are such perpetrators
With salaries so high
Demeaning every protocol
With the closing of their eye

They imagine their distinction
Their lineage so fine
Ancient houses dynasties
Of people down the line
Rolling over millions
But caring little for
Children on the front line
That never knew the score

Misanthropy is commonplace
The worst intentions here
A malignancy of character
Stoked up with such fear
Child abuse its out there
Victimization too
Baleful maligning and vicious
And all of this is true

And the so called retail outlets
The supermarkets here
Are flogging all this chocolate
At prices that are dear
Using and abusing slaves
Who get no pay
They suffer all these children
Who are trapped there night and day

Who now are the scoundrels?
The makers tell me who
The growers earning little
Or the corporate world who do
The dirty on so many
The Ivory Coast and more
Other families children
And its all outside the law

The stony hearted buyers
Callous through and through
They wont admit its happening
On their watch its not true
Sleepwalking in the jungle
Just one of the boys
A big glass of black label
And a sharing of the joys

For me its dereliction
Of duty thats for sure
They are placed to know whats happening
How can they ignore
What is the bloody obvious
The lack of alacrity
The incompetance and bungling
To be an absentee

If its from Africa from the countries i have listed
Try another route but organic booja booja plamil 100 per cent Vegan equal exchange .
pay a bit more
For less and protect the children of africa

We all like a piece of chocolate dont we but lets be resolute
Lets be passionate lets be compassionate for other peoples children
Trafficked away to these plantations to slave in the hot sun
Be aware and truly care for those manufacturers that are out there.
