Investigations in okeechobee dairies Florida

Contrary to reason irrational belief
Unrigorous and ungrounded
Creating utter grief
Incongruous and unwarranted
Untenable and unsound
A total lack of vision
And biased judgement all around

Male chauvinism everywhere
The abundance of it clear
Narrow minded intolerance
Which leads to a general fear
Wrong-headed and unseeing
Fanatics everyone
Cruel and nasty buggers
When the day is done

Inappreciation crass ignorance to boot
A total unenlightenment
Half knowledge at their root
Ill-informed and all untutored
In the ways of dairy life
Most of them lowbrow phillistines
Creating so much strife

A terrible lack of intelligence
Retarded we might say
Leading to an oafishness
On any given day
Psychopathic tendencies for cruelty
And stress
Unhinged themselves and out of control
Really in a mess

Resigned to creating mayhem
And cruelty and pain
To the animals that unfortunately
Have to bear the strain
Milking females being tortured
In every sort of way
From kept in cramped conditions
And beaten Everyday

All of them are mothers
Expecting some respect
But getting well the opposite
That all will soon detect
Poor drainage, so the animals
Are standing in their shit
Standing in their urine
Milkers its not fit

To be so close to milk
And have faeces floating by
This is most unsanitary
And really does belie
Any form of management
Or meaningful discourse
It is incomprehensible
To actually use force

On females giving up their milk
To beat them with knotted towels
And electric prods who are these sods
Allowing all these fouls
Exposed electrical cables
Where water and feces lie
Around the milking area
The question asked is why

How can any farmer operate
In this way
For workers and for animals
It really doesn’t play
Into any common sense
Really now To me
It is incomprehensible
And i am baffled actually

Beating happens all the time
To hurry the cows along
Supervisors instructing workers
That it does belong
In daytime activity
Really give them hell
As for downers the term
For the sick and exhausted souls
They are prodded and sworn at
For them just no controls

Kicked and left for weeks on end
To suffer and to cry
No vets around to help them
And some eventually die

Manhandled to the rape rack
And raped by untrained staff
A whole arm into their anus
One after another and laugh
Their heads off as they transfer
Bodily fluids all around
How can that be sanitary
And the pain just does astound

Any caring soulful member of the human race
Who witnesses this terror
Look at each poor cows face
The mendacity and deceitfulness
Of brusque and curt design
The injuriousness and the grief and woe
Of all those on the line

Babies are taken away at birth
Their natural instinct lost
When they wont take a bottle
Tubes down their throats soon cost
Bloody ulcerated wounds
Imagine how that feels
Kidnapped from your mother
Who cannot respond to your squeals

Put in wired enclosures
Out in the hot sun
Or pouring rain no shelter
But this is what is done
No duty of caring
They suffer terribly
These are little babies
And face the iniquity

Underfinanced undermanned
Knee deep in piss and shit
Lying with dead babies
The angst who would see fit
To leave a tiny baby
In such a wicked place
A wretched buttock clenching nightmare
On each tiny face

Filthy mangy manky
Rotten to the core
Temperatures above 100
Isnt there a law
Protecting little babies
And where are the owners who
Are supposed to give them love and care
And this is what they do

Victimized and stricken
Careworn haggard souls
Milked to death raped of breath
Where are the controls
Writhing aching suffering
Maltreated and made
Sick at heart and sorrowful
With no one to give aid

This the dairy industry
In Florida today
Talks up business worries
How nobody will pay
The right price for commodities
And now what do we see
Animals taking punishment
And that is constantly

So each time you pour your ice cold milk
On your cornflakes everyday
Remember the poor cows straining
On the rape rack
Who now pay
A terrible price in blood and sweat
And iniquitous deceit
Blubbering and whimpering
And All ending up as meat
