Glastonbury

Pilton lights up the night sky
Auric flame
A crackling plea
Once again, a fresh claim
On Glastonbury
That magickal town
With its witches and wizards
And historical gown

That sits over yonder
Sleeping perhaps
As the worlds music lovers
Perhaps under wraps
Descend as the darkness
Creeps over the sky
And the fireworks breakout
A great joy to the eye

The crackling flashes
Take us back to a time
When as spirited youngsters
We together did climb
To the hill overlooking the
Bonfire below
As the rockets fired skywards
and we all did go
Into the heavens to share Where they flew
To imagine the great star lit
Wonders anew

Watching in awe as the cell phone lights
Share
I was there in my heart
Whistle aware
Holding Picton to account
Its spectacular view
Dreaming a while
Maybe of you
Great crackling gorgons
Dicharging their light
Onward and upward out into the night

Lifted bereft of the storm of the day
Like a firefly again
In a myriad ray
Of sensation and colour
A triumphal glow
A state of true wonderment
A curious flow
Helping my wings now into flight
Overwhelming my senses
With magickal might

Thankyou for posting Dear Claudie
Through your heart i could imagine it all x
