Summer Solstice

We see light in all its glory
With the sun and all its power
Boundless for creation
Hotter by the hour
The earth is warm and comforting
The sky is brightly blue
As the sun now enters cancer
With the Celtic Oak on view

Life just feels so wonderful
The longest day has come
And an undying spirit fills our souls
And In essence we feel some
Joy within our bodies
Its tangible and true
Theres nothing quite like Stone Henge
With the Cotswold Order, who

Give rise to kindred spirits
Who share the ancestral call
The magnetic pull of the ancient stones
Encircling us all
The sentinel crows of sympathy
They are charmers to the end
In their flight and concentration
They are keen to be our friend

They look at us from silence
Raptors of a kind
Awakened by the shining orb
To shadows that unwind
Before us on this afternoon
We gain our peace of mind
Behold the sweet vibration
The tingling breeze we feel
The vibrancy of summer
That is so very real

The colour of the morning
The brilliance of the day
Such pigments all around us
In what is a display
Of summer and the solstice
A full six months to Yule
The shortest night
Where witches are about me thinks
The light
Dawns on powerful beings
To burn logs for to try
And frighten off the dragons
Who aroundabout may fly
Poisoning our wells and springs
Our blooming hearts will beat
Together in our circle
With the green grass at our feet
