Where?

Where did we come from
And where do we go
The heartbeat an ally
A percussive show
Elation created in all of us,we
Heralded dawn
And the freedom to be

Ourselves in the light
In the great melting pot
We held dear just waiting
For what we had got
Was mainly conjecture
Possibly we
Were swept in a current
Of stress out to sea

Jetsum just bobbing out in the spray
Part of the dogma
Just carried away
Our spirit engaged
In a time honoured thought
That we must find the shore
Before we are caught

Up in the whirlpool
That shakes us around
Thrusts us in manacles
Into the sound
Of silence forever
The SUMMERLANDS where
And our real disposition
Of being aware
