Through ancestral tunnels to
A home to be so proud of
For they know what they do
Tools of their own making
Claws all sharpened by
The scratching posts around the sett
Underneath the sky

EverytHing is self contained
And many metres long
Split levels all designed in house
Their tunnelling is strong
Their bedrooms are protected
Construction age old charm
Their toilets are in shallow pits
Their earthly life so calm

Night birds thats their chosen time
To wander and to see
They spirit amazing camouflage
True to type they be
They really are unique
Diverse in many ways
An evenness of temperament
And remarkably it pays

A flood tide of emotion
Has bit old Brock for he
Has felt the wrath of farmers
Whose lousy husbandry
Whose wish to make a profit
In a market place where they
Are treated as the under dogs
So supermarkets play

With pricing and with grading
Putting pressure on those who
Have their prices beaten down
The cows are victims too
Suffering, their health breaks down
And Bruin takes the can
He is giving cows TB
Not the rancher man

Science is an arse in all of this
For the control
Is ruled by the bankers
Who take on the role
Of who pays the most interest
Gets from them the nod
And Badgers are the wild boys
And no one gives a sod

So the puppets of Westminster
Are called upon to break
Shoot the bold wild black and whites
For everybody’s sake
There is no money to be made
From all these setts but we
Can push the farming mob along
Out of adversity

Cori she is vegan
A lass of the new time
She loves all of the animals
And her spirit does enshrine
Her tenaciousness and care
She conforms and warms to animal rights
Consistent and always fair

Her time lines rich and informative
Inspiring all the way
She has tolerance and a toughness
That helps her through each day
Potent armed and invincible
In the ways she goes about
Fighting for the animals
Onlookers in no doubt
