The noble Orca

A mammal of distinction
With an ancestry of old
The largest brain ever
To evolve or so I am told
It has enormous courage
And audacity
A fearlessness beyond all fear
And wondrous chivalry

ITs greatness is unmatched
It transcends and does control
Prodigious its intelligence
So Aware of its role
Its supremacy is sovereign
Surpassing on the whole
Everything that lives and breathes
The embodiment of soul

Always it be curious
And creative through and through
In infinity indefinitely
Timelessness it drew
An Aeonian displacement
A perpetuity its birthright
And its expectations
creatures of the light

A strength and a great vigorousness
And a tolerance too
Holed up in some Sea World pond
Just expected to do
Simple tricks the man made stuff
And this a complex beast
With far more grey cells
In its head
In which to enjoy its feast

If it wanted to
No trainer would stand an earthly chance
The corporate chain of high command
Wouldn’t get a second glance
Their parentage lost in some womb
Of circumstance below
The gutter of creation
Lost in a world of woe

They are a revelation
Impressive in their look
Black and white and so in the light
Clearly brought to book
An emanation really
An ocular display
A pleasure to each eye ball
Watching in the spray

Conceptual and perceptive
Inventive even so
All can really speculate
And thus their thoughts can grow
Extra sensory perception
And mentation all the way
Is meditative and imaginative
When it comes to work and play

Its attack is seldom futile
Its a mentor and a sage
Its ability to think things through
Is clearly off the page
But it does have expectations
And can see hopelessness
It anticipates the ugly
And feels the unwanted stress

The power of retaliation
It has and no doubt can
Use it as at SEA WORLD
It will kill a woman
When it is crestfallen
And remembers the pain
Of capture and its family slaughtered
And the ongoing strain
