Ric and how the world wide meat trade doesn’t help his position

Lets appreciate mentality
Ric’s and ours
And the Japanese
Enter a spot of mendality
Its really likened
To a reprise

Ric’s emerged as a central force
And the Japanese have sailed off course
He clearly is an embarrassment
And so it appears it is their intent
Japan and its culture of Dolphins and Whales
And cetaceans abroad
Clearly it fails
All these petitions
And actual conditions
With so many missions
There is no accord
Like a rat in a box
When threatened it tries
To leap over its captors head
Into its eyes

Its a desperate plea
A political stance
Ric o Barry
Is continually
Taking each chance
Inevitably drive hunts
We know have to go
24 fishermen
They all must know
Inhumane methods
All countries have those
Whether Dolphins or Piglets
Or Cows I suppose
For men and the Meat Trade
Yes them as a whole
Whilst some are pure vegans
The majority troll

The seas of expression
The fields of regard
The skies of abundance
And they find it hard
To hide in the shadows
Scoffing their meat
Whilst raising the roof
At how the Japanese eat

Mrs tuna salad
Or Mr Ham roll
Can shout at the Japanese
Can question their soul
We know in our abattoirs
Animals die
Throats cut and bleeding out
Which is now why

The Japanese look
And think we are two faced
Ric is a figure head
He has been placed
There to be shot down
A victim he be
But on his own
In reality

He knows the perils
He once was there
Adding a lot to the
Dolphins despair
And now he is fighting
To give them their chance
And I say the Cod and the Tuna
Could dance
All should be given
A reason to be
Enjoying their freedom
Under the sea

Not dragged out of the ocean
and crushed in some net
Or slaughtered in seine netting
For the rich set
Its the world wide meat trade
And some who protest
Who apparently are not prepared
To invest
In reducing the market
For animals food
And point at the Japanese
Creating this feud

Which will not go away
Till the blood thats spilled here
In the worlds abattoirs
Where its also clear
Vile enterprises are slaughtering
Hard
Kosher or halal it knocks
Us off guard
We are objecting
Whilst carrying out
The most awful slaughtering
Too
There is no doubt

The Japanese feel
They are victims too
And might understand
It if more of you

You know who you are
If more of you tried
To actually walk your talk
Rather than hide

Denial is one thing
Its a bit unfair
To expect so much change
With your hearts in the air

Ric is entitled
To go to Japan
Having so changed his attitude
Since he began
His work with the dolphins
And see’s that he erred
And it has become political
Some hang on his word

And Britain excludes people
America too
We lock people up
Its what countries do
But there underlying
Is the loss of face
And protestors protesting
With not enough grace
