Sea World on the Goldcoast

Here is a great artificial parade
Pomposity gaudiness somehow its weighed
Into the psyche by giving those who
Want grandiosity sparkling through
The Gold Coast has exceptional natural sights
Beautiful beaches with so many delights
It is a paradise under the skies
Then theres the corporate world of disguise
You can see it and feel it and know its about
Profit and money and margins its out
Its blatantly obvious now what they do
Ruin the natural world building this zoo
This fucking great theme park
A monstrosity a manifestation of vulgarity

They steal from the oceans wild souls
Who become
Slaves to their system attracting the numb
Who pay to go on bloody rides in the sky
And watch dolphins leap its all a big lie
Its cruelty personified tearfully they
Do what they do at the end of the day
They can know that the ocean is close
But they must
Swim in a tank filled with disgust
Dolphins and Penguins and Polar Bears
In sub tropical weather does that show
Who cares
Sub Tropical climates for the polar bears
Who were born in the ice fields
But Seaworld yes dares
Rays seals and sharks too
All on display
This is your new world the world of today

Where they take and destroy all the natural
Life
With bloody great rides that create so much strife
Its all artificial but who cares about
This its the new world worthy of a shout
The great village roadshow is rumbling on
Feeding the masses with their on going con
Its all artificial staged let us say
To draw in the seekers and make them all pay

But what of the natural world outside their door
Where natural beauty follows the shore
The green of the sea the blue of the sky
The green of the hinterland it makes me cry
To see this great dinosaur rise from the earth
With myriad contraptions a sort of re birth
Of consumerism and corporate power
And then theres the animals every hour
They are abused by the system they be
Gawped at by numb skulls its vulgarity
Its defacement of soul and an uglification
Of what was so beautiful yes the creation
A vast hideosity gargoyles and fright
Unaesthetic unbecoming and just not right

These theme parks have one theme the making of money
Where everyone suffers though is told milk and honey
Flows from the skies and people believe
That cows milk and bee honey it will achieve
Everything they ever wanted and they
Cant wait to get in and let their kids play
Let them taste paradise man made and grim
Whilst outside their walls Nature’s no whim
The great Mother landscapes and fills every nook
With magic and brilliance each exquisite look
Out to the ocean along the great shore into the sky
Where there is so much more
Life at a peak a beautiful earth
Where harmony happens an idyllic rebirth

So much enchantment and exhilaration
The surfers the wind boards its true elation
The notion that gigantic water slides can
Be more of a draw that the ocean began
When Sea Worlds great arrogance spread near and far
Importing sea life the great Orca Star
The dolphins the sharks all there in a tank
A prison where chemicals make it all rank
A watery hell has no place on this earth
The captured so stressed they are cash cows
Their worth
Is to Sea World the corporate’s great balance sheet
Power to the elbow of the elite
