Bullhooks veto

California had a chance to ban the Bull Hook
But it sadly was veto’d so I hear
Governor Jerry Brown had been won over
With all the worst intentions its seems clear
The travelling shows and circus’s are powerful
And training elephants is too seemingly
The problem though is that elephants are changing tune
They realise the reasons to be free
Are now important as their tribe is diminishing
Ivory and poaching claiming some
Trophy hunting now claiming a lot more
And the people thats the audience some are dumb
They do not feel the heartache of the pachyderms
They have no wish to share the creatures pain
The suffering of such a powerful earthling
Who takes the torture again and again and again

This was a chance to re programme all about us
To safeguard those who suffer as they do
Retaliating was not a trait of the elephants
It only happened with a very few
Tyke was one who went of course on rampage
The human beings senselessly destroyed
A beautiful pachyderm
They watched her flight full term
And all those bullets turned to celluloid

Governor Brown for what ever reason
Had his chance to put the tragic case
To stop the torturing mayhem on the roads
Through many cities
Carried out by some of his human race
The bull hook penetration of the elephants
To frighten them and build up in them fear
If only he had voted for the bill SB716
Elephants would be free for me thats clear

Once again the profit motive heightens
The travelling shows can benefit it appears
But elephants are growing wildly crazy
And what we see is more and more big tears
You cannot subjugate the wild ones continually
You have to work them fairly or you will find
Deaths are coming as hearts are drumming wildly
Don’t ever feel that the elephant is blind

They feel and see the ugliness of performing
Of lack of freedom to exercise and be
Themselves trapped in this horrible circus scenario
And bull hooked till the pain is noticeably
Causing them aggravation of the wild kind
The human trainers arrogance is vile
More deaths are going to ensue you better watch this space
And then there will be many dragged to trial
