Moonstruck

Imagine you are out on a row boat
On your own
With just your thoughts
And there before you
Such a vision
An ocean seemingly
of quartz

The moon has come to bathe
Itself in the saltiness and light
In serenity
Its wish to be
Responsive to the night

Emotion takes an upper hand
And someone in your heart
Someone you love dearly
You loved her from the start
The first moment you saw her
Those gentle birds they flew
Out of your sub conscious mind
For that is what they do

That sensory perception
That emotionality
You could feel that tingling
Deep inside of thee
Your mind was all but lost in her
And then you saw the moon
The sea the sky
And you knew why
And you knew you would see
Her soon
