Rollright’s roll. (And so do we)

Lets never forget those who have passed
Our ancestors for they have cast
Their knowledge wide and we follow through
Our crops are important for they all do
Sow and harvest the goodness store
Bake our bread thats what its for
Honour the craftsman god loo, nah sar
Transformation that where we are

The wheel of the year
Has turned once more
Sickles and scythes hang by the door
Grapes and vines
And sheaths of wheat
Some of the signs
All good to eat

Little corn dollies
Pumpkins round
Apples and peaches set on the ground
Plums and damsons
And lots lots more
The coming harvest
Yea galore

We need the stores
Crammed full of food
For winter cometh
When winds are crude
When the sun don’t shine
And the rain and frost
Remind us all of the flowers we have lost

As the wheel keeps turning
More friends pass on
We just look around
And they are gone
Gone to the spirit their eyes will see
Us at our rituals, constantly
So always spare a kindred thought
For the ancestors and the knowledge taught

One day all of us will be
Ancestors,too our symphony
Of memories played out tunefully
In the shadows roundabout
Blessed be we hear them shout
Blessed be yes blessed be
Roll rights roll and so do we
