Paris the march to close abattoirs

What a fantastic outpouring of sentiment and care
Under a lovely blue sky where so many did share
Such energy such thoughtfulness and togetherness as they
Spread their positivity all along the way
Placards they were everywhere lots of tops in red
The movement is clearly gathering power
On top of a van they led
What was a grand procession the emotion it was there
Whistles voices heartiness yes we all could share

It was heartfelt and impressive
Spirited and aware
The message you could hear it
From almost anywhere
Closure of the abattoirs
The message loud and clear
These places are dire hell holes
Full of suffering and fear

Of course we hear their wails of woe
Their tenderness from down below
Their tears we know and of course we share
Wet eyes of course were everywhere
These marches carry lots of power
They move people and they shower
The true sense of why people come
And march and share and truly some

Get motivated and feel the fire
The euphoria and of course desire
The affection for each earthling friend
Who in these dark vile places spend
The last moments of their wretched life
Destroyed by a slaughter man with his knife

And it’s all done noisily behind closed doors
Something the city of Paris ignores
Something the people who buy into meat
So out of their minds and well they just eat
We have to appeal to them they have to hear
That’s why we march why we write
And spread cheer
The animals earthlings deserve so much more
And that’s why we came here
We cannot ignore

Their cries and they are crying each day
For their calves and their piglets
And lambs that did pay

A coming together of like minds were we
Marching to save them and knowing we be
There for them always using our voice
To appeal to the people who have got a choice
