50,000 as many as that

From Timuru to Mexico
And it takes 16 days
A journey of a lifetime
Not worthy of praise

Aboard a ship and loading
50,000 souls
New Zealand helping Mexico
To score a few more goals

This is a massive export
And what of all those sheep
Many are bound to be fearful
This contract makes me weep

For sure the farmers will be
Happy what they achieved
But such an enormous shipment
I For one believed

It’s just not fair to do this
On quite so many who
Will suffer through their welfare
And may die as many do

They will not eat they panic
It’s an alarming state
They are sailing tomorrow
And what will be their fate

It is said the are not going
To be killed when they get there
They are breeding sheep
So it’s positive but few do seem aware

That it’s such a terrible journey
And itWill take it’s toll for sure
And those that fall sick upon the ship
Many will ignore

We have to watch and listen
How many do survive
What is a terrible journey
What is a modern drive

So watch this space and listen
As to how many will be
And what will become of those who don’t
Just thrown in the sea

We shall wait to hear the outcome
And imagine their fear and woe
11,000 kilo metres in great holds
