Queensland

It probably is the Queensland
It’s not there’s and not ours
It might have been before the fracking
Before their enormous powers
Were summoned and presented
Via the fracking crap
Via the grids of pipelines
And the delusional clap trap

Gas wells pipelines
The loop holes in the fracking law
We are destined sadly folks
For hell on earth for sure
Even cane toads cannot survive
All this shitty rain
Everything is dying
And it won’t come back again

Just look across the countryside
A great grave yard of trees
Really as far as the eye can see
And it was done with ease
bloody huge great bulldozers came in
And they were gone
Our precious bush lands so destroyed
It has been one big con

The families still here suffer
Their house price has gone down
Nobody would buy it
Nobody in town
The odour of resentment
The evils of the trade
Everyone is suffering
Inside us they have laid

The vile exhaust
Our water
cannot be drunk no more
We have to drink the bottled stuff
Nothing from the bore
These bores were there for centuries
But over fracking night
These lying bastards lied their way
With all their corporate shite

And some of us were taken in
But now not any more
But it’s too damn late
For us Queenslanders
It’s like we’ve gone to war
With an enemy so powerful
Who infiltrated, and
Stole our land from under us
Yes we understand

We are sick nosebleeds and ear bleeds
Our water and our air
Our environment so sickly
Yes every blooming where
Radiation heavy metals
Our bodies under attack
Our wild life dead or dying
And there’s no way back

Try to get the authorities
To come out and just see
They don’t fucking want to know
We’re fracked up yea we be
Lost souls in our own land
That we all have worked for years
The enemy are
the corporations
Their weaponry our fears

It’s their regulated circus
Contaminated air
Flares are burnt off and the smell
It’s every fracking where
The little things like birdsong
Insects it’s all gone
Breathing drinking nothing
And life goes on and on
but this is not the life we want
And our children god I say
What we have done for the children
How they are going to pay

How will they now get around this
There are clusters of cancer we know
And nobody wants to hear about us
Nobody wants to know
They thought they would make a packet
But reality shows us more
We were all sold down the river
For they changed our fracking law

We warn you you in Britain
See what’s become of us
The Kevlar goons may try to stop
You but kick up a fuss
Do all you can to stop this
The shale gas crowd are mad
They will stop at nothing
And you will know you were had

Fracking is a sin so huge
So sick it’s energy
Comes in like an electric storm
And just takes hold of thee
There is no way back when it happens
Water yes and air
Your children kneeling bleeding
And nobody to care
