The whole Hog

Lyall Watson had his finger
On the potential role of pigs
He understood them and realised
Their observation digs
Deep into their psyche
Into their fascination for
Life just how resourceful they are
Who dares ignore
he was obvious about them
The caring thoughtful way
He observed them and respected them
And did it everyday

With Such imagination they are able to get by
By carrying out the simple things
They are inventive which is why
Anyone who studies them
Can appreciate their worth
Can be excited by their simplicity
And strong Vision of the earth
For them life has much meaning
An equivalence you know
Interpretative of simple things
Extraordinary the flow
Instinctively demanding
And manifesting light
An enchanting look at piggery
That leaves us feeling bright

They have a true refinement
Though many seem to feel
They are anything but purposeful
And they possibly reveal
An inner common plainness
But in actuality
They are sensitive and affable
And full of fluency
