Homeless and therefore invisible

Focused on ourselves are we
Rush about uncannily
The man he is invisible
He is homeless actually

A broken nose a beard
Sitting lost for words
Looking at the traffic passing
Just watching the birds

Pecking on the pavement
Invisible to those
Rushing on their way
To somewhere I suppose

One man borrows his bucket
Uses it as a drum
Puts his hat upon the pavement
Another starts to strum

And sing a lady joins them
The man can now be seen
He even taps his feet a bit
He is more than a machine

He is homeless but he is human
He has a heart and soul
And the money they have collected
They give him
And they stroll

Off not even turning
Gone into the crowd
Three angels dressed as humans
Who never sang that loud

But brought hope to a homeless man they never even knew
