We cry out to you all

They tell us

they care

they tell us

its true

but we see with our own eyes

now what they do

imprison the sensitive

sorrowful souls

fail to feed them

but they know their roles

in a shallow pen

they are forced to be

subjected to wind and strife

they see

the writing on the proverbial wall

each to his own

each has to fall

each has a heart

of burnished gold

each cries inside

however old

the Japanese tell us that they care

but of course if only they could share

the sensitivity that we all feel

they’d soften up

and just be real

shallow depths

and wind and waves

the eyes of the world

are on the braves

they  struggle unfed

they cry aloud

Neptune has heard them

and his soul is soured

by what goes on

now in Taiji

which hopefully

you can all now see

sensitive, sorrowful souls
