How can we trust the arrogance

if the commercial world won’t play

ball over experimentation

it wont go away

each specifies some testing

and the animals know pain

every conceivable torture

is carried out for gain

and so the universities

are telling us that they

are going to come clean on it all

if the animals are going to pay

then they are going to tell us

they will make it clear

whats that’s got to do with anything

to me my fear

is they will go on and do it

and tell us afterwards

when in fact they ought to stop it

that really rewards

the activists and the animals

but saying possibly they

will come out in the open

and continue the dismay

sorry that won’t do at all

the universities

have got to stop this

evil stuff

give us all the keys

lock the bloody laboratories

and stop testing that will be

what we expect and want from them

not openness

to see

a bloody end to all this

and it just bloody wrong

the animals go through the mill

and have all along

the innocence is obvious

their blamelessness is too

the transgression and the trespass

has got a lot to do

with the corporate mentality

the contracts and the rest

the profit and the margin

and testing that was stressed

it had to be done

animals were the only bloody way

the voiceless had to undergo

the torture and dismay

so openness is coming

its not behind closed doors

they will tell us who they want to hit

and really what the cause

is and why they want it

and that will be the law

I’m sure some will be guilty

but finding out what for

may be another story

open, maybe so

but the only way to stop this

is to stop this
