Nancy Phipps

There are those souls who give their time

for animals

they realize that animals must be

helped and always loved

for they are sadly

left alone so often dreadfully

alone in homes and pounds and slaughterhouses

when subjected to the torture of the age

this is when they need our thoughts

this is when they do tune into

when the slaughtermen do vent their rage

when the killing starts amid the torture

that’s when those sweet activists can be

able to give strength and further fortitude

and help them on their way so wonderfully

Nancy was an earnest and strong supporter

she lost her daughter underneath the wheels

of a truck dear Jill was crushed she was a hero too

and so we understand now how she feels

her mother died and both are now in a better place

for here the animals are  lost for sure

there is a move to counteract the

massive rise in meat eating

for after all the world is drenched with gore

I with a lot of others bow to Nancy

and Jill her daughter,we  would not turn away

both did never falter they fought the fight for animals

and both of them have died, so I today

I for one now hang my head in sorrow

the world needs more souls as of course we know

they were our inspiration lets hope they find salvation

and the movement that they left us with does grow

RIP Jill and Nancy Phipps
