Foie Gras lets try and get behind the minds of those buyers

Its clearly a most obnoxious product

a vile despised idea

it might have surfaced

long ago in Egypt

but its clear

in this day and age

when compassion

should be closer to our hearts

to find 2 famous shops in London

somehow that imparts

a sadness to those thinking

ethically because

to torture any animal

like this I mean it was

terrible to contemplate

but to carry on the trade

the evil thats personified

in the hearts and minds its laid

bare

by all and sundry

the vile depressing way

ducks and geese are treated

and are made to pay

for what

what is the problem

their livers

and we can

expose them to such cruelty

thats the miserly plan

of being really beastly

of force feeding till we see

the liver bloated 10 times

more than it should ever be

a diseased  fatty liver  the stuff

of nightmares for us all

not so Fortnum and Mason

they are there on call

to supply the horrid substance

and to arrogantly display

it even in the window

in this day and age to say

we accept the product

we believe its good

torture in a can or jar

you have misunderstood

the human being loves this product

with brown bread each time

he gorges himself upon it

he knows it tastes sublime

I sink upon my knees

and say aloud to those who can hear

Foie gras is the most dismal

nasty product that all fear

to promote it in a store

with a royal warrant

well  yes we

realise the vileness

and the lack of  credulity

its not as if there isn’t evidence

oh! there is so much

it just shows the extent of ignorance

and being  out of touch
