“Round up” ( the act of gathering together)

Monsanto created its round up
and we
face the most negative
that there now could be
glyphosate a broad spectrum
herbicide will
take every wild plant around it
and kill
into the earth where its rooted
the power
if there it will sever
the force on the hour
rats fed on GM maize
get breast tumours galore
its toxic to water
and so much more
to kill off the life force
where wild plants abound
and search out the others
dormant in the ground
tells me that this substance
is as toxic as hell
and to take up its qualities
Monsanto do well
as do its corporate friends
who clearly they
are fearful and frightened
but any way
it is seemingly obvious
from its results
that it may be the product
that now catapults
into our psyche
and into our soul
and deep in our being
as part of our whole

we allowed it to come
into our homes and just be
on the shelf in the garage
there we can see
round up its there
on our skin
in our breath
in our blood
in our heart
and it may spell
the death
of everything that
we apply it to
and
everything it touches
on our green land
