Willow (a fairy princess)

In a beautiful castle
close to the sea
lives Willow her mummy and
sisters, who be
as pretty as anyone ever
and they
all enjoy swimming
out in the blue bay

Willow has a horse
its as pink as can be
it has sticky up ears
and just loves the sea
its awfully clever
for it knows the way
to her school
and it takes her
all that way
everyday

she says giddy up
and holds onto the reins
and her pink horse
flies skywards
and rapidly gains
height
for its magical
whoosh is the sound
that Willow can hear
as she lifts off the ground

for breakfast
her mummy sometimes
does a appear
with a big plate
of beans on toast
it is clear
Willow loves beans on toast
she loves them so
and she takes a carrot
for her pink horse
you know

school is quite far away
but her pink horse
can fly she can jump
she can swim
and of course
she loves eating carrots
for they help her to fly
and remain in the pink
at the wink of an eye

one of her sisters
has a moss tosh
when I saw it first
well I exclaimed Gosh
such a pretty mosh tosh
a pale shade of green
willow’s favourite colour
is purple
she’s been

to the great purple palace
up in the sky
where the faery queen lives
and eats moon and star pie
sometimes little willow
on her way home
visits the palace
and meets Rex the gnome
he’s a colourful character
but talks such a lot
and most of it actually
is so much rot

but her friend called Claudia
she knows the way
to shut that Rex up
all she has to say
well just look real sternly
and he pipes down quick
clearly he’s happy
just a little bit thick

When she grows up
She might be the queen
and rule the whole world
where the pea cocks do preen
where the pink horses fly
and where sea horses be
in the castle of hope
close to the blue sea
