Being recalcitrant is most unbecoming of you Chevron

You understand the pollution
that Texaco left behind
In Ecuador, contamination
of the evil kind
in pristine forest areas where
indigenous people are
suffering, so very much
and all you have done, is scar

one of the purest environments
walked in, and done your worst
and then got on a plane and left
leaving these poor souls cursed
leaving these poor souls wounded
leaving these poor souls sick
and despite your massive profits
you fail at arithmetic

the sums just don’t add up, do they
Ecuadorian forests now
polluted, and it suited
you to say, they can take
a running jump
for, forever and a day
Well let me tell you Mr Watson
as we lay, in our bed
just imagine for a moment
they’re suffering, such dread
that we allowed to happen
to a people who did care
the guardians of the forest
with a role
so really rare

with little help
they’ve done it
for years until you came
and then you had the cheek
to leave your shit about and
blame
the bully with his coffers
of course believes that he
can fight off
“all these savages”
but now listen to me

Ecuador is a pristine place
and the Quichua know the score
what you’ve done is tantamount
to something all abhor
you’ve ruined
God’s own paradise
and then you’re on your way
They are up to their eyes, in all your s–t
and you refuse to pay

Sir think hard and long
