Carbonated soft drinks
are now everywhere
From the Himalayan Hill Towns
to the sea
As high as you can go
amongst the wondrous lands of snow
Down to the River Napa
where the Amazon
does flow
Into a mighty dragon
and cascada’s of pure white
To the Andes where the
Condor glides all day
And Any place you visit
Cola’s there al’right
To dissolve your tooth enamel
we all pay
A lot,
for what is a couple of gulps of acid
Laced
with aspartame, the stuff that is supposed to make you high,
Phosphoric acid obesity and taste
Thirst quenching water turned into a cocktail
20% or so in VAT, and an aluminum can that lasts a thousands years in some landfill site
there it will be.
And it all came from Bauxite torn from forests green
The heart and lungs were made to ache
to fuel the great machine
The environment, the animals and the people
all get quite a low mark on the scale
In essence for the water used and the enormous amounts of energy
It really is a disappointing Tale
